Showing and interpreting stats for a published newsletter issue

Find stats for your published newsletters and learn what email stats and missing figures on older issues mean.

Stats help you see how much your newsletter is being read. You can find stats for each issue in your list of published newsletters.

To view stats

  1. On the Dashboard, open the publication you'd like to check
  2. Click Published from the left menu
  3. Find the newsletter issue you'd like to check. Its stats are shown alongside it in the list

The separate Statistics page is no longer available.

Page views

View counts for individual pages are no longer available. These were removed as part of a move to a simpler, more accurate statistics model.

Stats for older newsletters

Some older newsletters may have incomplete stats, as the previous system only kept data for a limited time. If you see a dash for unique views on an older issue, this doesn't mean nobody read the newsletter.

Email stats

When you send your newsletter to your iNewsletter email subscribers, the email summary encourages them to click through to the full newsletter. Email stats describe what happens to that email:

Opened means the email summary was opened.

Clicks means a recipient clicked through to open the full newsletter.

Failed deliveries means the email bounced or another delivery failure was reported.

If you're unsure about a figure, send us a message with the newsletter issue and the figure you'd like help with.
